This confectionery shop is located just off the main piazza in the town of Menaggio on the western branch of Lake Como. Why not treat yourself to one of the delicious handmade pastries and cakes or even buy one to take-away! As well as sweets, boxes of chocolates, biscuits and cakes you can also purchase wines, prosecco, various liqueurs such as grappa and limoncello, balsamic vinegar and olive oil. A great shop for buying an authentic gift to take back home.

This confectionery has been running since 1911 and the owner will make cakes to order for special occasions; weddings, birthdays, christenings, Easter and they make a beautiful panettone which is the Christmas cake to have. Matalock cake is another speciality cake specific to the Lake Como area. There are various pastries to choose from including maritozzi; a kind of sweet bun with icing which can be left plain on the inside or filled with cream, nutella, chocolate or ice-cream.
To the rear of the shop is a spacious area to sit down and have a cappuccino (or a tea) with an outside area for those hot summer days (connects onto Piazza Tomaso Grossi). Come along and try one of the delicious pastries for yourself.
Opening Times: 08:00 - 20:00 (all year round, only closing on a Wednesday in the winter months).
 Questa pasticceria si trova vicino alla piazza principale di Menaggio sul ramo ovest del lago di Como. Perche’ non provare una delle loro deliziose paste o torte oppure comprarne una da portare a casa! Oltre alle caramelle, scattole di ciocolattini, biscotti e torte si vendono anche vini, prosecco, liquori vari come la grappa o il limoncello, nonche’ l’aceto balsamico e l’olio d’oliva. Un posto ideale per rifornirsi di prodotti DOC da portare a casa.
La Pasticceria Manzoni e’ stata fondata nel 1911. Il proprietario prepara torte su ordinazione per occasioni speciali: matrimonii, compleanni, battesimi, torte pasquali e anche il famoso panettone, la torta natalizia per antonomasia. Il Matalock e’ una specialita’ del lago. Tra le varie paste da scegliere ci sono le maritozzi: una sorta di brioche con glassa di zucchero che si puo’ mangiare liscia oppure ripiena di crema, nutella, ciocolato o gelato.
Sul retro della pasticceria c’e’ un’area spaziosa per sedersi e prendere un cappuccino (o un te’) e un cortile all’aperto per le calde giornate estive (accesso da Piazza Tomaso Grossi). Venite ad assaggiare una deliziosa pasta! Vi aspettiamo.
