Lake Como, Italy has all the ingredients to make for the perfect holiday.

An Italian fashion house that claims to be the world leader in fine men's clothing. Founded by Ermenegildo Zegna in 1910 in Trivero (Biellese Prealps), he quickly became known for producing fine quality wool suits. Ermengildo died in 1966 aged 74 and his two sons Aldo and Angelo took over the business. After two years of running the company, his sons launched a line of ready-made suits, produced in Zegna's factory in Novara.

There are Zegna factories in Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Mexico and Turkey. The first boutique was opened in Paris in 1980, followed by Milan in 1985. In 2003 their numbers had grown to 147 shops controlled by the company, and 150 franchises, both Ermenegildo Zegna and Zegna Sport. Zegna's flagship boutique locations are mostly found in the United States, Europe and Japan with megastores in Milan, Paris, London, Tokyo, Boston, New York City and Beverlt Hills. They also manufacture suits for Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Tom Ford as well as their own labels and have now expanded into accessories and leather goods.

Aldo died in 2000, but Angelo remains the President of the company and it is now managed by the fourth generation of the Zegna family.
