Lake Como, Italy has all the ingredients to make for the perfect holiday.

An elderly English tourist died suddenly of a heart attack whilst wandering around Como market earlier this week.

The woman who was in her seventies was in the company of her husband at the time and had stopped for a rest at a nearby bar when tragedy struck and she fell to the ground. Two volunteers of the Blue Cross emergency services who were in the vicinity quickly arrived at the scene with the ambulance arriving only minutes later. They attempted to resuscitate the woman for over quarter of an hour but unfortunately were unable to save her life. The woman was then taken by ambulance to the Sant'Anna Hospital but it was clear by this point that there was no hope.
