70kph Winds around Lake Como |

Winds of up to 70kph blew across Lake Como this morning. In Piazza Cavour, Como outside the hotel Barchetta, all the barriers were blown over but thankfully no pedestrians were hurt.
This area is currently closed to all vehicles at the moment. Unfortunately a more serious situation arose in via Adamello, from Casnate to Bernate, a few metres beyond the border from the town of Como, a large fire broke out due to the high winds which required the National Fire Departments to contain and put out the blaze. |
