A petition with nearly 4000 names has been forwarded from students living in and around l'Alto Lario to the Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi. The students are requesting a more efficient and direct mode of transport for crossing the lake. The students are disatisfied with the present mode of transport (catamaran) which takes approx 2 hours to reach Como and on the return journey the boat leaves at the same time as the students finish school (midday) meaning that they then have to wait 90 mins for the next boat. Nearly 3 hours later the students finally arrive home |
