Lake Como, Italy has all the ingredients to make for the perfect holiday.

Drink driving is unfortunately on the increase in and around Como. The local traffic police set up a check-point in Como last weekend in the Camerlata area and within the first hour over 10 people were found to be officially over the alcohol limit.

Even with all the television advertising on this subject, it still has not gotten through to a percentage of people out there who are either completely oblivious to the dangers of drinking and driving or they really do not care that their recklessness may result in a serious accident or even death. It is a sad state of affairs when people are willing to risk their lives or someone elses for the price of a couple of drinks!
