| Stay where you are on the 25th of April – busy day on Lake Como |
|
The 25th of April is a big festive event in Italy to celebrate the anniversary of Italy’s liberation from Nazi-Fascism. Every year many Italians use this public holiday to make short trips with family and friends. Due to the lake’s vicinity to the congested urban area of Milan, large numbers of day trippers come here to relax, take boat tours, make picnics and enjoy the various sights of the area. The rather narrow streets of Lake Como tend to easily jam with traffic on days like this. We recommend everyone who doesn’t have to go to Lake Como or leave from there on the 25th of April to stay where they are. Rather than being blocked in traffic we suggest you take it slow or how the Italians say: Enjoy the “Dolce far’ niente” (sweet idleness). Have a great day J Your Lakecomopages Team
