Lake Como, Italy has all the ingredients to make for the perfect holiday.

Michele Bondi and Lara Bubani, a thirty-something couple from Erba, Lake Como will embark on the experience of a lifetime when they set sail for a round-the-world trip in September 2009.

The couple plan to leave this September in their 12 metre long yacht which they bought for €50,000 and have invested the rest of their life savings to pay for this trip.

With the help and support of family and friends the couple will soon be able to make their dream a reality in only a few months time. Michele Bondi and Lara Bubani have said that that they want to live life to the full, have lots of new and meaningful experiences and discover new people and places in complete harmony with nature. The captain of the boat will be Michele Bondi who has always had a passion for sailing which he has inherited from his father. There is no exact time limit on how long this trip will take as the couple have said that they just want to enjoy the adventure and savour every moment.

The adventure will begin from North Italy (it has not been decided yet which port they will leave from) and include some of the following places; Gibralta, Canary Islands, Brazil, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Madagascar, South Africa and eventually arriving back into the Mediterranean.
