Como celebrates La Befana |
 On Wednesday 6th January the Piazza Duomo in Como, Italy was bustling with people who had arrived to celebrate La Befana; a traditional Italian festival. It was estimated that there were approximately 4500 to 5000 people in the piazza many of which were children as La Befana is seen as a childrens festival. The crowd awaited the arrival of the "witch" or "old lady" who then appeared on the Broletto tower and made her way down into the crowd with the help of the local firebrigade who had wrigged up cables to allow for the grand entrance.
