A great family day out where you can also show the kids the natural gorge in the mountain formed by the glacial melt waters of the stream Pioverna. There is a kiosk where you can buy something to drink an ice-cream or a packet of crisps with a few picnic tables dotted around. You can walk around the gorge in 10-15 minutes but it is worth going to see. Opening times: 10:00am - 13:00 then 14:30 - 19:00, evening opening 20:45 - 22:00 (only these times until end September) Cost: Standard tickets are €3,50 Directions: Head for Piazza San Giorgio in Bellano and from there you will see the signpost for Orrido which takes you along Via Roma, it is very easy to get to and you can easily walk to it from the main road in Bellano. |

Do you know your Anchylosaurus from your Tyrannosaurus? A dinosaur exhibition is currently being held at the Orrido in Bellano on Lake Como, Italy until 30th September where you can see 9 full-sized model dinosaurs that lived over 65-180 million years ago.
