Lake Como, Italy has all the ingredients to make for the perfect holiday.

After last weeks unexpected return of winter temperatures in Lake Como, this week started off with blue skies, a warm breeze and sunshine. Most hotels had reopened within the first weeks of March as well as many guesthouses, restaurants and stores.

Gardening firms could be seen tending to mny of the lakeside villas in preperation for the arrival of their owners for springtime. These days everybody seems to be busy with spring-cleaning including the various municipalities; the commune of Griante and Cadenabbia have recently renewed road markings  for parking and pedestrian crossings and stop signs.

Griante is a popular excursion destination and attracts numerous visitors each year. As Griante and Cadenabbia lie opposite Bellagio, tourists often park their cars and take the ferry boat across the lake to explore the southern shore of Lake Como.
