The biggest aquarium in Europe features sharks, dolphins and hundreds of other beautiful fish. The Aquarium’s 59 tanks reproduce marine and terrestrial habitats from throughout the world and provide a home for more than 6000 creatures belonging to 600 different species. The Aquarium has a mission to increase public awareness of environmental problems.
As well as the acquarium there are the following things to see;
The Biosfera is a structure of glass and steel with a diameter of 20 metres. It is a botanical garden accommodating tropical plants and animals.
Centre for children - the first big centre in Italy dedicated not only to play but also science and technology for children aged 2-14 years.
Maritime Museum - dedicated to man and the sea.

It takes approximately 2-3 hous by car from Como (as long as traffic flow is good) and is a distance of approximately 190km. |
