Castello di Breno

Breno Castle is actually made up of numerous buildings that were constructed over the the centuries and now integrate into the hill on which it sits atop. This ‘castle’ is steeped in history going back to the time of Federico Barbarossa (1100-1200).

You begin your visit from the tower-door near the entrance of the castle which then leads onto the courtyard. To the left of the courtyard is the medieval church which is the most ancient monument. There are many areas to explore and there is also the great tower from where you can have a spectacular panoramic view.
