Gardaland Amusement Park

This amusement park is the largest in Italy and is situated in the province of Verona.  It has everything you can think of from rollercoasters, to a little farm, shows and playparks.  There is also the new Gardaland Sea Life Park where you will encounter everything from shrimp and star fish to seahorses and tropical sharks.

You can get there by coach, train or car, it takes approximately 2 hours to reach (by car) from Como (180km distance).

 

Address: Castelnuovo del Garda 37014, in the province of Verona.
The main entrance to the Park is on the SS249 (gardesana orientale) which is the east bound road between Peschiera and Lazise.


Opening Hours: 4th April-18th June; open daily from 10am to 6pm, 19th June to 13th September varies from 10am to 11pm or midnight and from 14th September to 30th Septemer; 10am-6pm through October/November and December times vary (see Gardaland website for further info on this).

NB. Cash registers close 1.5 hours before the park closing time.

Cost:  For full day ticket €35, for children at least 1 metre tall and under 10 years old and also senior citizens of 60+ -  €29 day ticket.  Tickes slightly dearer for a combined day ticket with the Sea Life ticket.

Further info

For young children, you can rent a pushchair at Gardaland for €5 for the day, thus saving you the hassle of carrying your own.

 

There is also the Gardaland Hotel on-site for those of you who wish to stay for a night or two.
