Lake Como, Italy has all the ingredients to make for the perfect holiday.

Public transport is the most cost effective way of travelling to and from the airports, although this is not always hassle free as there will likely be changeovers from bus to train etc.

However, you can always hire your own car which has advantages of allowing you to travel further afield than Lake Como and see surrounding mountain-top villages that you might not have had the chance to visit otherwise.

Alternatively you can take a taxi or use a private hire company to collect you but this can be very costly but on a positive note, it takes away the worry of driving along the narrow winding roads and having to contend with busy traffic, not to mention finding parking.
