| Heavy Fines for Snowmobiles |
|
PELLIO INTELVI
The State Forestry Corps of Como have taken action on the snowmobiles that race through the forests scaring the wildlife and posing serious danger to hikers.
Forest regional law 31 of 2008 states that; it is prohibited not only for snowmobiles but any vehicle, from travelling through the forest/pastures unless it is an authorized service vehicle.
“We are aware of the problem - confirmation Paul Cerè of the provincial coordination of the State Forestry Corps of Como - As the law says; No motor vehicle, except those authorized persons or of service, can journey on the forest roads. There is a heavy fine for anyone who does not abide by this rule and the amount can be between €105 to €316, besides the optional seizure of means.
There are also the implementing decrees of the municipalities that regulate locally within the region. In short, it is possible for snowmobiles to go into the forest but not wherever they like and they must abide by the rules. It is necessary to pay attention to the Foresty rules if you do not want to be fined.”
