Speeding problem on Via Regina |

La Tremezzina (local action group) is rebelling against the propsed installation of VELOMATIC, the road system which indicates excessive speeding on the Via Regina road.
The committee, already "at war" with the Breggia Lario consortium, is announcing battle: "Harassing us with fines is enough - there are other means to guarantee security." A new revolt in sight on the lake. For the moment things are not very heated but plans are in place for cranking up the demonstration of dissent more effectively. "Project Security", which is finely tuned by the Union of Comunes of Tremezzina for speed controls on the state Regina road within the residential centres of six communities from Colonna to Griante (but excluding Sala Comacina), vehemently rejects the part regarding Velomatic 512. A request to block the programme and introduce modifications has been issued. |
