This villa is situated in Bolvedro, Tremezzo (Lake Como, Italy) and was built at the beginning of the 18th century for the Duke of Carretto. It was then passed to the Brentano family and thereafter to the Serbelloni family. The villa has magnificent gardens with a beautifully crafted wrought iron gate at the entrance. Many valuable antiques furnish the inside of this villa.
The Serbelloni family had this villa for approximately nine years, in which time it was host to l’ abate Giuseppe Parini (famous poet), private tutor for the young Gian Galeazzo. For weddings the villa passed to the council (Busca) which in effect made them he owners.
Unfortunately it is not possible to enter this villa but it is still worthwhile going to see.
