The Como Lago Nord (Ferrovie Nord Milano) train station is situated near the lakeside in Piazza Giacomo Matteotti, just across the road from Como’s bus station where the C10, C20 and C30 buses can take you to your destinations on the western branch of Lake Como and also Bellagio.
Trenord is the main line operator used for this station and you can take the train to Saronno where you can change to the Malpensa Express train which will then take you to Malpensa Airport. This train also runs to Milan Cadorna Train Station.
- C10 bus travels mainly along the lakeside through the villages of Argegno, Lenno, Mezzegra, Tremezzo, Cadenabbia, Menaggio right round to Colico at the north eastern part of Lake Como. Take this bus if you are wanting to reach any of the villages on the western branch of Lake Como near the lakeside.
- C20 bus takes you on a more panoramic route up into the mountains and only goes as far as Argegno and then turns off to the left climbing up into Val d’Intelvi. This bus passes through the following villages; Cermobbio, Argegno, Muronico, Castiglione, San Fedele, Inferiore, Ramponio, Verna, Scaria, Lanzo.
You also have the option to take the ferry or hydrofoil to your final destination if you prefer. There are also signposts with taxi numbers on them right outside the arrivals section of the station.
Once you have purchased your train tickets, please remember to validate them using the ticket machine before boarding the train as failure to do so will result in you getting a fine.
