To Como by train
There are no rail links from Linate Airport therefore you must take a taxi, Starfly/ATM Shuttle Bus service into Milan Central Station.
Once you reach the Stazione Centrale in Milan you can take the train to Como which takes approximately one hour. Click here for further details.
Destinations on eastside of lake by train
If you’re heading for the east side of the lake, take the shuttle bus from the airport to Milan Central Station and from there you need to take the train going to Sondrio or Tirano, it takes approximately 40 minutes to Lecco, 1 hour to Varenna and 1½ hour to Colico, which is the furthest point on the east side of the lake from Milan.
There are also trains running between Lecco and Colico and stopping at a number of less well known stations along the east side of the lake. Remember to punch your ticket in one of the yellow punching machines before going on to the platform. To find the trains to Varenna look for the train bound to Sondrio-Tirano Failure to do it may result in a heavy fine.
